Bupa Approved Assessments
Dr Welsh is a registered clinician with BUPA, which allows Clarity Autism to offer high quality autism assessments for children and adults via this route.
The first step in this process is to check with the Bupa Mental Health Team (MHT) whether your policy covers mental health assessments.

If your policy covers this assessment, you will then need to secure approval and obtain a pre-authorisation code from the Bupa Mental Health Team.
Once you have BUPA authorisation, we can then arrange a face-to-face initial assessment at our Middlesbrough office in order to determine an assessment plan and discuss such processes with you.
If your policy does not cover mental health assessments, we are more than happy to supply you with more information regarding our self-funded autism assessment process.

We ensure that we adhere to all recommendations proposed by NICE guidelines in terms of what constitutes a ‘gold standard’ and high-quality assessment, and as such, our findings are seen as valid and accepted by school, GP, Local Authority, student support services, NHS trusts etc.

We do not have waiting lists, and we will typically begin assessments 1-2 weeks after signed terms and conditions have been returned to us.
Our current completion time from initial consultation to conclusion of the assessment is approximately 60 days for both child and adult assessments.
